The Free Methodist Mpumalanga Conference celebrated the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ with a convention which was held at Ebenezer Circuit from the 7-9 April 2023.

The Convention was held at Ebenezer Circuit under Dwaleni A/A, as  the leadership of the Mpumalanga Conference had decided to rotate our Passover conventions among all its Circuits with the purpose of reviving the congregants on those Circuits. The place was secured, and safety with water taps, pit toilets, electricity backup system was functional because they had a generator.

All circuits, and districts were represented with all Pastors/ pastors wives and all ministries such as Umbuthando, Malihambe, Youth, Amabutho Amatsha Esiphambano.

The Convention was different in the sense that they had Bishop Chanza and his family amongst them after a long time of not seeing him due to Ministerial functions.

We also had different lessons lead by Ministerial candidates such as “Marriage” topic being facilitated by Rev Mashaba.

The success of the convention brought great Joy to Superintendent Rev AL Mahlalela as he said.

“I wish to begin my short speech by giving all the Glory to God after a period of three full years for Mpumalanga conference not holding Passover Convention together as a conference due to COVID 19 pandemic. We thank God for giving us this opportunity again.”
