Ministries

SADIME

The Free Methodist Church accepts responsibility to obey the Great Commission of Christ (Matthew 28:18-20). Missionaries are sent into all the world to evangelize and make disciples, to build them together in His church (1 Peter 2:5; Ephesians 2:20-22), and to engage in ministries of compassion and human development in the name of Christ. Free Methodist Missions shall carry the gospel into areas where no Free Methodist ministry exists and serve in partnership with the national church in evangelization and church planting. Free Methodist Missions will define its mission field globally, including South Africa. South African Department of International Missions and Evangelism (SADIME). The Board of Administration shall constitute the SADIME Board of the Free Methodist Church of Southern Africa, which has authority over missions functions.

Chaplains

The Free Methodist Church of Southern Africa provides ministry to persons in special situations beyond the local church, such as in the military, prisons, institutions and law enforcement agencies, through ordained ministers who are chaplains. Ecclesiastical chaplain endorsement procedures and guidelines of the Free Methodist Church of Southern Africa are established and approved by the Bishop/Board of Bishops and the Board of Administration. Endorsement procedures are printed in the Guidelines for Ecclesiastical Chaplain Credentials.

Men’s Ministries (Umbuthano Wobudlelwano Bamadoda)

Men’s Ministries (Umbuthano Wobudlelwano Bamadoda) of the Free Methodist Church is recognized as an auxiliary of the Free Methodist Church of Southern Africa, and is governed by its own constitution and bylaws.

Women’s Ministries (Malihambe)

Women’s Ministries (Malihambe) of the Free Methodist Church is recognized as an auxiliary of Free Methodist Missions and is governed by its own constitution and bylaws.

Youth’s Ministries

Organizing and hosting programs and services such as prayer groups, support groups, Bible studies, retreats, outreach programs, and missions. Facilitating support services and/or performing community outreach to attract new members.

Children’s Ministry (Amabutho Amatsha Esiphambano)

Overseeing the daily operations of Children’s ministries. Organizing and hosting programs and services such as prayer groups, support groups, Bible studies, retreats, outreach programs, and missions. Facilitating support services and/or performing community outreach to attract new members.
